Raku is a pottery technique that originated in 16th century Japan. The process results in beautifully unpredictable and intense colors. The word Raku means “enjoyment,” “comfort,” or “ease.”

The Clay Pot welcomes you to experience this truly unique way of firing pottery by participating in one of our Raku workshops.

You will paint your bisque piece with specifically formulated Raku glazes and see them emerge from the Raku kiln red hot and glowing. Our potter will guide you through the entire process. Come join us in the comfort of our outdoor Raku patio and easily create a beautiful Raku piece of your own.
